Giving it Away: How Free Music Makes More Than Sense

Here’s a great article by Derek Webb on the current state of the music industry. He wrestles with whether it’s better for the artist & industry as a whole to

  1. give music away for FREE, 
  2. have it streamed for FREE/subscription (e.g. Spotify, Rdio),
  3. or sell it on a store (iTunes, Amazon, physical store).
